Here's the 3 team Jamboree that the Indiana Muatangs will be hosting as part of their pre season schedule. In case you are not familiar, it is an Indiana HS football tradition that the Mustangs took to the semi pro level. Here are the teams that will be playing.

Indiana Mustangs vs West Noble Wolfpack

Indiana Mustangs vs Indianapolis Yellow Jackets

West Noble Wolfpack vs Indianapolis Yellow Jackets

It will take place on Saturday, June 19 and start at 4pm at Mudsocks Field in Carmel, IN, the pre season home of the Indiana Mustangs.

Mike,

I heard a rumor today that the Yellow Jackets have folded. I have not verified (it just came up in conversation and doesn't really affect us in any way) but you may want to in order protect yourselves.

Good luck,
Hop

Thanks for the heads up. You may want to forward your message to Shawn Fox and, more importantly, James Stamper, to let them know if in fact that is the case. Take care.

Made a few calls today and from what I am hearing they are still in business.

I believe they may be getting out of some games with particular teams but I also heard that they were not playing.

Times have been posted on the Indiana schedule on page 1 of this thread. Note that all the away games are 7 PM starts but all the pre season home games are 4 PM starts and all the league home games are 5 pm starts. Also note that the Mustangs pre season home games are at St. Maria School in Westfield, IN and at Mudsocks Field in Carmel, IN, where as the league home games are at Hare Chevrolet Stadium in Noblesville, IN. This is just like when we played at Kautz Field for some of our games and Walter Cross Stadium for others, both in Kokomo, IN, before the team moved to Taylor HS and Sharpsville, IN. Lots of Big Ponies running through the Hoosier cornfields!

I saw that it is at the middle school in Portage. No problems.

The Mustangs also added a couple more non-league games prior to the MCFL schedule kick off. Check the first page for the additions to the 2010 schedule.

Mike,

The billboard looks pretty sweet. Great way to legitimize the team in the community also.
How much does something like that cost??

Thanks
Hop

I researched banners for the past couple of years. Your best value is usually a digital billboard if you can find them. They run about $80/day here in the Milwaukee area on I-94 between Milwaukee and the Illinois state line. When you get into the vinyl or paper billboards, your costs increase exponentially because you need to pay to have the sign made. I believe a vinyl sign is about $2,500 (but can be reused hundreds of times) while a paper sign is around $1,500 (used once). Sometimes you can find that the company has two week availability so the vinyl signs are nice because you can get a much cheaper rate and your sign could be put up in several spots over a two-month period. Digital, if you have them in your area, is the most cost-effective way to go. Also, if you're a 501c(3), make sure you ask for nonprofit discounts.
