Here's a link to QB Eric Hooks who was on Spike TV's Pro's vs Joe's against Mike Vick and Co. This is a preview to the show appearing on Spike TV's new season of Pro's vs Joe's on July 28th at 10pm. Here's are the links below: http://www.spike.com/efp?flvbaseclip=3432062&http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=131315506910107The Stangs will be looking forward to his return for the league season coming upon us. Minus the last game, the defense and running game have been keeping things close in the pre-season. Good luck to the Stangs in the upcoming season.

Mustangs Host First Home League Game this Saturday!
The Indiana Mustangs (2 – 5) will host the undefeated Columbus Fire (5 – 0) this Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Hare Chevrolet Field - Noblesville High School. The Mustangs have had the misfortune of opening this season with three consecutive league road losses, and they are hoping to turn around their season at home this weekend. Last year, the Mustangs were undefeated at Hare Chevrolet Field. The Mustangs have struggled each week with key players missing and that has proved devastating. The Mustangs have added several new players in the past week including former Indiana All Star Jeep Adams from Ben Davis and running back Kendale Williams from Arlington High School.
Although the Mustangs lost last week to the undefeated Southern Michigan Timberwolves, the Mustangs did show marked signs of improvements as the defense held the league’s leading rusher Anthony Sherrill to only 64 yards rushing. Sherrill has averaged nearly 200 yards per game and he is the all time rushing leader at the Eastern Michigan University. The Mustang defense was led by a strong performance from middle linebacker, Jeep Adams, who lead the team in tackles in his first game out. Offensively, the Mustangs looked greatly improved with their stellar quarterback, Eric Hooks, finally in the line-up for his first game of the season. Three weeks ago, Hooks was featured on Spike TV’s reality show Pros vs. Joes, as his team defeated the Pros that featured three former NFL Pro Bowlers including quarterback Michael Vick. Kendale Williams also showed signs of brilliance as he rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns, and he is quickly becoming the team’s top offensive threat.
Last week, the Fire played last year’s league champion Kings Comets in a rematch of the 2009 MCFL Championship game except this time the Fire won 26 – 25, scoring a touchdown late in the game to secure the win. The Comets won the MCFL championship over the Fire last year by blocking a field goal on the final play of the game. The Fire will feature one of the best quarterbacks in the league, Antwaun Gibbs. Gibbs was the MVP of the MCFL in 2009, and he will be one of the key players that the Mustangs must stop.
The Mustangs are back at home next Saturday, August 28th when they face the Traverse City Wolves in a non-league contest. Gates open at 4 pm and kickoff is scheduled for 5 pm at Noblesville High School.

Mustangs Host Home Game on Saturday!
The Indiana Mustangs (2 – 6) will host the Traverse City Wolves (5 – 1) in non-league action this Saturday, August 28, 2010. The game will be played at Hare Chevrolet Field-Noblesville High School with kickoff scheduled at 5 pm. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for youth & senior citizens and 5 and under are free. All Hamilton County high school football players and military personnel receive free admission to any home game in 2010.
Traverse City Wolves are members of the NA.FL., and they have quickly become one of the top teams in the country while the Mustangs have struggled all season with key players missing and a grueling opening three-game road schedule. The Mustangs have added some new quality players in the past few weeks namely the return of their all conference cornerback Paul Carter Jr. who holds the career interception record at University of St. Francis, and Brandon Walker-Roby who played receiver at Indiana University (Brandon’s brother Courtney Roby plays for the Super Bowl Champions New Orleans Saints). Both Carter Jr. and Walker-Roby played indoor professional football in the spring for the Ft. Wayne Firehawks and they are teamed up with fellow Firehawk offensive linemen Brandon Brenizer from Taylor University. The Mustangs need to win two of the three remaining league games in order to qualify for the MCFL playoffs this year.
The Mustangs offense showed marked signs of improvement last Saturday especially when former Ft. Wayne Freedom quarterback Eric Hooks (Univ. of St. Francis) entered the game trailing 26 - 6. Hooks worked late and was unable to make the game until the final two minutes of the 1st Half. Eddie Tucker (North Central HS and Franklin University) started the game at quarterback and he found Adam Rich for a 32-yard touchdown to tie the game in the first quarter. Hooks made his appearance known almost immediately when he hit former University of St. Francis teammate Paul Carter Jr. on a 57-yard reception on the first play of the 2nd half, setting up a 3-yard touchdown run by Kendale Williams. Williams has already scored five touchdowns since joining the team five weeks ago.
Hooks also converted a pair of fourth downs on Indiana’s next possession, a 32-yard pass to Adam Rich on fourth and three and a two yard touchdown pass to Brandon Walker-Roby on fourth and goal, to pull the Mustangs to within 24-18. Tatum scored on a one yard run and ran in the two point conversion to put the Fire’s lead back to 32-18. A bad snap on a fourth and three play from the Columbus 14 ended Indiana’s next drive in the fourth quarter, and Columbus used a 13 play drive to take 9:16 off the clock, extending its lead to 40-18 on a two yard touchdown pass from Tatum to tight end Mark Ratliff. Eric Hooks connected with Williams on a 9 yard touchdown to complete the scoring with 2:06 remaining in the game. Hooks finished 13 of 21 passing for 164 yards and two touchdowns, helping the Mustangs convert on four of five fourth down attempts. Defensively, the Mustangs were led in tackles by lockdown corner Bruce McDonald (Kokomo HS and Anderson University) and linebacker Junior McKinnie.
The Mustangs are off on Labor Day weekend, but the team is back in action on Saturday, September 11th when they host Flint Fury. Gates open at 4 pm and kickoff is scheduled for 5 pm at Noblesville High School.

The Indiana Mustangs (2 – 7) will play host to Flint Fury (1 – 7) on Saturday, September 11, 2010. The game will be played at Hare Chevrolet Field - Noblesville High School with kickoff scheduled at 5 pm. Gates open at 4 pm. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for youth & senior citizens and 5 and under are free. All Hamilton County high school football players and military personnel receive free admission to any home game in 2010.
The Mustangs are coming off their best offensive performance of the season in a loss to the Traverse City Wolves. The Mustang offense racked up nearly 400 yards of total offense led by running back Kendale Williams (Arlington HS) who ran for 82 yards on 8 carries and one touchdown. Williams has scored at least one touchdown in every game he has played this season. The Mustangs standout quarterback, Eric Hooks ran for one score, passed for two touchdowns and had over 260 yards passing. His favorite target was former Indiana University receiver Brandon Walker-Roby who also finished with his best night since joining the team two games ago. Walker-Roby had 4 receptions, 95 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He added 108 yards on three kickoff returns including an exciting 82-yard kickoff return on the opening play of the second half.
Defensively, the Mustangs were led in tackles by linebackers Cornelius Edmond (Pike HS) and former Indiana All Star Jeep Adams (Ben Davis HS). Dwight Wyatt (Arsenal and Trine U.) also recorded his best game with 3 tackles for losses, and a big quarterback sack late in the game. The Mustangs can still qualify for the MCFL playoffs by winning two of the three remaining games. The Mustangs will be on the road next week against undefeated Detroit Seminoles and then they will wrap up the regular season with the Wisconsin Wolfpack on Sunday, September 26th, 1 pm kickoff.
