Yes, it was that bad.  14-0 two-and-a-half minutes in (60-yard kick return followed by 36-yard TD pass for Nashville, then we snapped the ball over the punter's head and they recovered in the end zone for another TD), 24-0 at the end of the first quarter.  After that we at least stayed competitive, but were still outplayed despite 21 penalties for 187 yards on the Storm.  They outgained us, 320 yards to 108.  We turned it over four times.  Hopefully we'll get some good out of it, but for now, not the way we wanted to represent the league.  I'll have more later.

We didn't catch the Comets on their best day, and we know it.

I've noted over a period of years that when a team opens their season against a team that has already played several times, the team playing in their opener is at a substantial disadvantage (this was the Storm's 4th game). Comets had about 35 guys in uniform---- I've seen lower numbers for visiting teams in Nashville, but there were probably key guys out.

The Comets are all class and great champions; you don't get better administration than Whitman and Wells. I know many Comets stayed overnight---- hope you had fun and have a safe trip home.

Agree, T-Wolves opened against a 5-0 Wolverine team, very difficult to hit the ground running against a quality team out of the box with multiple games played, but in the end it I believe its a plus in the long run.
